You will be responsible for the airworthiness of aircraft that are registered in Singapore, including unmanned aerial system. You will ensure that aerospace organisations and airlines comply with CAAS regulatory standards for the design, manufacture and repair of aircraft products/articles.

Your primary responsibilities include the development of certification standards, certification of products/articles and its production, and monitoring of its continuing airworthiness. You will be part of the team that regulates aircraft and unmanned aircraft operations focusing on airworthiness related matters, performs safety oversight on design and production organisations, as well as conducts investigation on aircraft incidents and accidents. You will also be involved in the development of engineering related policies, guidance material and standards, approval of aircraft modification designs and repair design.

Requirements

  • Trained in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics / Aeronautical Engineering with at least 5 years’ related experience in unmanned / manned aircraft certification and modification
  • Experience and knowledge in the following fields will be an added advantage:

        -   Certification of STC and / or TSO items
        -   Safety System Analysis
        -   Electric propulsion
        -   Software certification
        -   Electrical Load Analysis
        -   Additive Manufacturing
        -   Aircraft structural load analysis
        -   Aircraft fatigue and damage tolerance

  • Preferably possess knowledge and understanding of CAAS SAR Part 21, FAA 14 CFR Parts 23/25/33/27/29, EASA CS- 23/25/E/27/29, NATO STANAG 4761/4702 or JARUS CS-LUAS
