The Government Technology Agency (GovTech) aims to transform the delivery of Government digital services by taking an "outside-in" view, putting citizens and businesses at the heart of everything we do. GovTech's Services Group collaborates closely with stakeholders from across Governments to ensure that newly-developed digital services answer the needs of their users. We work with agencies to aggregate and deliver useful central ICT needs. At Planning Quality Assurance (PQA), we are a unit based in HQ that looks at strategic planning, quality assurance and change management for Services Group in their engagement with our stakeholders.

Designing in the government is a whole new ballgame. We don’t chase numbers. Instead, we prize creating impact for fellow Singaporeans. Expect a lot of talking to citizens and observing how people do things. Hence, we are looking out for people who possess a high level of emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills. 
 
What to Expect: 
  • Plan and carry out primary research to dissect multiple service channels and touchpoints as well as the relevant user motivation and behaviors 
  • Facilitate workshops and activities with stakeholders to understand the backstage activities and processes 
  • Utilize storytelling and experience maps to communicate research findings 
  • Identify opportunities for policy and process improvements 
  • Identify opportunities for potential products and areas where separate interactions can be combined 
  • Create and test prototypes with users 
How to Succeed: 
  • Design-related degree or relevant industry experience 
  • Design leadership to evangelize/communicate the value of service design 
  • Ability to articulate design rationale, concepts and ideas clearly and effectively 
  • Ability to zoom out to see the big picture, and dive in to analyse the important details 
  • Experience communicating and co-creating with multiple stakeholders 
  • Experience utilizing a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies 
Good to Have:
  • Experience working in agile development teams 
  • Visual design skills (You are a unicorn!) 
  • Thirst for learning 
  • Good sense of humor 
  • Know how to have fun 
  • You have a unique skill that no one else on our team has
