Overview of Job:

This job supports the Employment Standards Enforcement (ESE) department’s efforts to raise national compliance with employment laws.  The candidate is required to improve the department’s enforcement capabilities by developing and reviewing operational frameworks and processes.  The candidate is also required to manage and analyse the department’s enforcement statistics to facilitate operations management.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Improve ESE’s operational capabilities, by developing and reviewing operational frameworks and processes.
  • Review and streamline existing operational frameworks and processes to enhance relevancy and effectiveness.  Ensure that the frameworks and processes are effective, efficient and aligned to MOM’s priorities.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop new or review SOPs.  Communicate and roll out the SOPs to ESE officers, and initiate training programmes if necessary.  Ensure compliance with SOPs through audits.

 

  1. Manage ESE’s enforcement statistics.
  • Ensure enforcement data is recorded and collated accurately, and carry out analysis to support operations planning.  Integrate data to develop relevant management reports to facilitate operational decisions.
  • Attend to requests for enforcement data and screening.  This includes interpreting the data and formulating the department’s position on the data.

 

 Job Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge and experience with data extraction and statistics analysis is required.
  • Work experience in regulatory or enforcement work is preferred.
