The Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) provides the edge Singapore needs to excel in the new economy by developing the infocomm and media industries and facilitating effective public communications.

As part of MCI, you will have a key role in remaking Singapore. We work towards our vision by formulating policies to develop and promote Singapore’s infocomm and media sectors. We also foster greater understanding between the Government, Singaporeans and stakeholders by facilitating effective public communications.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a team conducting public perception and behavioural insights research to inform government communications implementation and key policy decisions. Your key responsibilities include collaborating with relevant government agencies to identify research questions, applying suitable research methodologies to meet those objectives, and conducting data analysis to glean insights for communications strategies and policy-making.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should demonstrate a combination of the following:

  • Knowledge in Statistics / Economics / Business / Social Sciences or other related fields
  • 3 to 8 years work experience in a research role
  • Experience in the use of statistical software packages and programming languages such as SPSS and R.
  • Familiar with both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
  • Strong observational and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous, analytical, pro-active, quality-conscious and results-oriented
  • Passionate about research and interest to use data to help guide strategies
  • Possess initiative and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in economic or manpower related research would be a plus
