As a statutory board in the Ministry of Communications and Information, IMDA promotes and regulates the infocomm and media sectors.

 

TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) is a national initiative to develop locals in ICT skills and improve their employability. It is also to provide Singapore with access to tech talents to empower the growth of world class tech companies in Singapore.

 

Responsibilities

·         Intelligence Gathering and Market Analysis. Lead team to access market intelligence globally on tech skills and tech talent landscape via various partnerships to support TeSA.

·         Tech Ecosystem Engagement. Front engagements with IMDA teams and other government agencies to outreach to Singapore-based companies to identify their tech manpower needs and implement strategies to source, engage and develop talent to meet enterprise needs.

·         Partnerships Management. Formulate engagement plans with tech talent platforms and industry associations to conceptualise and implement digital campaigns and physical events to connect to talent to meet enterprise needs.

·         ASEAN Talent Desk. Strategise plans for the ASEAN market to identify opportunities and form partnerships to meet the tech talent needs of Singapore-based companies.

 

Requirements

·          At least 10 years of working experience, preferably in the Infocomm industry and with experience on manpower planning and analysis.

·          Has prior experience in leading teams.

·          Has domain knowledge in collaborating with government agencies, industry associations, local tech ecosystem in Singapore, research or academic institutions in Singapore.

·          Has experience in conceptualising, negotiating, and closing partnership deals with potential tech talent platforms.

·          Added advantage if the candidate is familiar with tech talent platform tools and has access to relevant industry networks that can be tapped on strategically for this role, such as access to tech companies, industry associations, academic institutions or training providers.

·          Fast learner who keeps up to date with industry and technology trends.

·          Agile and able to adapt to fast-changing environment.

·          Good networking and communication skills with individuals and companies, with strong influencing and negotiating skills.

·          Able to connect dots, frame issues and think strategically in order to implement ideas.

·          Results oriented individual that possesses operational excellence and anticipatory skills to deliver outcomes.

·          Able to work independently and able to work well with virtual teams.

 

 

Position will commensurate with experience.
