MOH’s responses to these challenges include preventing and managing the outbreak of diseases such as SARS and Influenza A (H1N1), designing a healthcare system that delivers care in an integrated and effective manner, growing the capacity and capabilities within the sector, and managing healthcare inflation.

As an MOH officer, you will be involved in formulating and implementing policies that guide Singapore’s healthcare ecosystem. You will work alongside a team with varied skills and backgrounds, but with the common goals of (i) promoting good health and reducing illnesses; (ii) ensuring that Singaporeans have access to good and affordable healthcare; and (iii) pursuing medical excellence. Your work will have far-reaching impact on the health and lives of Singaporeans.

Responsibilities

You will lead a team to conceptualise and drive the development and implementation of programmes and initiatives under the Action Plan for Successful Ageing, as developed by the Ministerial Committee on Ageing (MCA), to support ageing-in-place.  You will also support the implementation of Senior Activity Centres across Singapore to provide social and health support to seniors. Together with the team, you will develop, review, implement and oversee a community care system, which supports seniors across the socio-economic spectrum, proactively provides preventive health, and integrates social and health support, to support seniors to age in place in the community.

 

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications with at least 5 years of experience in policy work and project management. Prior experience in aged care issues would be an added advantage
  • Good communication skills with ability to engage and interact at different levels
  • Strong analytical, project management and writing skills
  • Highly driven and enjoy working in a fast-paced and challenging environment
