Manager/Assistant Manager – Equipment Registration

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Review and implement equipment registration policies, frameworks and schemes to ensure that they continue to remain relevant and effective.
  • Evaluate applications for equipment registration to ensure that the equipment complies with the relevant IMDA Standards, and is registered under the applicable registration scheme with the appropriate registration fee within the specified timeframe.
  • Review the relevant regulations and streamline equipment registration processes to improve efficiency and pro-enterprise for businesses.
  • Assess and verify equipment compliance to cyber security requirements as specified in the relevant IMDA Standards.
  • Address queries relating to equipment registration, standards, cyber security requirements for end-user equipment from the equipment supplier / manufacturer / test laboratory / certification body.
  • Undertake the review, design and implementation of IT systems and licensing processes supporting licensing regulatory functions to allow for automation and streamlining of processes to improve efficiency.

 

Applicants should possess the following requirements and experience:

  • Background in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline
  • At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in technical standards and conformity assessment procedures, and technical knowledge of cyber security
  • Good understanding of telecommunication and media equipment and networks
  • Good knowledge of Operating Systems, Network protocols and Web technologies.
  • Good writing and communication skills

 

Position will commensurate with experience.
