MOH’s responses to these challenges include preventing and managing the outbreak of diseases such as SARS and Influenza A (H1N1), designing a healthcare system that delivers care in an integrated and effective manner, growing the capacity and capabilities within the sector, and managing healthcare inflation.

As an MOH officer, you will be involved in formulating and implementing policies that guide Singapore’s healthcare ecosystem. You will work alongside a team with varied skills and backgrounds, but with the common goals of (i) promoting good health and reducing illnesses; (ii) ensuring that Singaporeans have access to good and affordable healthcare; and (iii) pursuing medical excellence. Your work will have far-reaching impact on the health and lives of Singaporeans.


As a Health Policy Analyst in the System Governance & Planning division, you play a key role to ensure that strategies of the ministry, statutory boards, and our public healthcare clusters are aligned and coordinated to achieve better care for patients and a sustainable healthcare system. You would also assist to identify gaps in the system and emerging trends, to help the ministry and our healthcare partners to anticipate and prepare for evolving needs of our citizens.

  • Through supporting the corporate planning process, you would help to align the work plans and priorities of the various stakeholders of the healthcare system, so that efforts are coordinated and meet the care needs of our citizens.
  • You would engage in research and horizon scanning efforts, and help to identify and recommend actions that would support the longer-term development and transformation of our healthcare system.


  • Relevant qualifications. Prior experience in strategic planning or healthcare would be an advantage
  • Ability to research, understand and synthesise information from different sources, analyse policies and strategies, as well as communicate complex ideas
  • Is comfortable working in teams and also independently, as well as engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Is able to handle multiple, concurrent tasks in a timely manner
  • Enjoys learning and is intellectually curious
