To achieve this, HPB drives national health promotion and disease prevention programmes, spearheads health education initiatives and creates a supportive environment in Singapore where healthy lifestyle options are available and accessible for healthy living every day.

Overview of Division
The Physical Activity and Weight Management (PAWM) team aims to make the physically-active lifestyle an integral part of Singaporeans' lives. The objective is to encourage more Singaporeans to incorporate sufficient level of physical activity (PA) into their daily lifestyle to improve their health. HPB aims to achieve this by educating local residents & seeding more incidental PA (IPA) and Leisure Time PA (LTPA) programmes.
The division also manages structured Weight Management (WM) programmes for a targeted group of people who wish to manage their weight.
 
Responsibilities
Reporting to Senior Deputy Director (PAWM), the Assistant Director, Strategy and Programme Support is expected to work with the SDD of the division; IPA and LTPA department heads; and management of a small team to:
  • Develop the division strategy and annual division workplan 
  • Monitor execution of the division workplan and lead the quarterly reporting process
  • Drive execution of Physical Activity literacy in collaboration with marketing and outreach teams; in alignment with PAWM focus areas
  • Ensure use and continued development of PAWM knowledge management platform
  • Manage customer care process ensuring timely resolution of customer issues
  • Oversight of budget utilizations, vendor payments and division inventory
Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 10 years working experience; with demonstrated experience in strategy development, deployment, reporting and team management
  • Highly analytical, data driven and detail oriented
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter, outcome driven; and possessed good problem solving skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity
