Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) was formed in 2008 under the Ministry of Home Affairs to (i) enforce the Casino Control Act; (ii) ensure that the management and operation of casinos in Singapore is and remains free from criminal influence or exploitation; (iii) ensure that gaming in the casinos is conducted honestly; and (iv) contain and control the potential of the casinos to cause harm to minors, vulnerable persons and society at large.

Job Description

As Manager / Senior Manager (Gaming Technology), you will be responsible for conceptualising, manifesting and developing CRA's gaming technology regulation regime. Essentially you will:

  • Develop and maintain all technical standards pertaining to gaming equipment and casino management systems;
  • Evaluate and recommend approval for gaming equipment and systems;
  • Monitor, scan, research and analyse new innovations, scams and trends in Gaming Technology;
  • Perform forensic data/evidence gathering and investigation on errant gaming devices
  • Conduct onsite technical compliance inspections, instruct casinos to rectify any non-compliances found and ensure that casinos take actions to prevent reoccurrences;
  • Conduct casino IT System walkthroughs

You will have the opportunity to be posted to other Divisions within the Casino Regulatory Authority to experience other aspects of casino regulatory duties and responsibilities, as part of your development as a regulator.


  • Knowledge in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in Information Technology related fields
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following:
  • System Architecture (Windows, UNIX, Linux)
  • Network Architecture (Firewalls, Routers and Switches)
  • Database Architecture and Design
  • Structured and Object Oriented Programming (preferably in C++,Java and Python)
  • IT Security
  • Possess an analytical mind and the ability to apply research skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Adaptable and able to work under stressful conditions;
  • Prepared to work during weekends and public holidays when required;
  • Ability to work both independently and as an effective team player in a highly dynamic environment;
  • Meticulous and an eye for details; and
  • High standard of integrity, drive and sense of urgency.
