Reporting to Deputy Director (International Agreements), you will be part of a dynamic team that contributes to our strategic objectives of safeguarding and advancing Singapore's environmental and water interests; seeking to maintain and enhance good relations with the international community through bilateral, regional and international initiatives and gaining recognition of Singapore's environmental efforts and achievements.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Formulate strategies and policy responses to bilateral, regional and international environmental issues as well as engagement of international / non-governmental organizations
  • Formulate programmes and strategies to promote and enhance bilateral relations, regional collaborations and international standing
  • Prepare background papers on Singapore's relations with other countries/organizations and attend related bilateral, regional and international meetings
  • Facilitate meetings and visits by foreign VIPs
  • Other issues and tasks assigned to the officer

Job Requirements

  • A degree with 1-3 years of related working experience. Fresh graduates can also apply.
  • Strong analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and develop effective working relationships with others
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently, but also able to work well in teams
  • Open to learning new skills
  • Willingness to travel
