We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join us as Executive Consultant/ Senior Consultant/ Consultant (Joint Ops). As part of the Joint Ops Secretariat (JOS) Team, your primary task will be to coordinate incident management responses to Whole-Of-Government (WOG) significant ICT incidents as well as localised disruptions within GovTech.

As part of the process, you will also be expected to deliver policy, planning and validation solutions pertaining to the execution of Joint Operations.  

What to Expect:

  • Developing, reviewing, recommending and maintaining plans and policies essential to the performance of joint operations deliverables.

  • Daily operational management of the JOS Cell, encompassing preparation of Situational Reports (SITREPs) to senior management and stakeholders during “peacetime” as well as during escalated incidents or crisis.

  • Leading a dedicated unit, in coordinating and facilitating joint incident management actions upon notification.

  • Establishing, reviewing and conducting the validation regime programme on the JOS Cell, as part of maintaining and sustaining its readiness.

  • Co-ordinating secretariat support duties under the Joint Ops Command.

How to Succeed:

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or related disciplines

  • Possess at least 5 years’ experience in incidents/Crisis/Operations/Business Continuity Management. Those with more relevant experience will be considered for the relevant grades.

  • Experience in operational risk management desirable (although not essential).

  • CISSP, CISM and/or recognised BCP certifications with relevant experience would be an added advantage.

  • Commitment to see through assigned tasks.

  • Be prepared to lead incident management responses during “silent” hours.

  • Strong leadership skills, and able to work independently as well as contribute as a strong team player.

  • Results-oriented and ability to work under pressure.

  • Effective negotiation skills, a proactive and ‘no surprises’ approach in communicating issues.

  • An articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing.

  • Must be comfortable in straddling between staff work and operational management response.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels (both internally and externally).

  • Applicant must be a Singapore Citizen.
