Our Defence Executive Officers (DXOs), alongside their military counterparts, play critical roles in preserving Singapore's sovereignty and stability.

You are responsible for the review and recommendation of measures for National Service (NS) related to the education sector. On this, you formulate the annual strategy and work plan for the Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (ACCORD) Educational Institutions (EI). You work with the Council members to develop ground-up initiatives based on ideas and feedback gathered from the Council meetings. You also facilitate and monitor the implementation and outcome of the initiatives and garner support from their community to bring those ideas to fruition together with MINDEF/SAF. Additionally, you help to drive the planning, engagement and secretariat efforts for ACCORD (EI), and provide updates to the management. As this job requires working with internal and external partners simultaneously, your challenge would be to manage expectations and be timely while providing valuable inputs to the overall plans and initiatives.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in mass communications, arts or social sciences, with a strong command of spoken and written English. You should also preferably have at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in events management. Having good interpersonal and communication skills are essential. You must be mature, meticulous, and able to multi-task. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
