Job Description

As a Senior Executive/ Manager, Pupil Placement in the Student Placement and Services Division, you will be working with various divisions in the Ministry’s Headquarters and schools as well as private organisations/ government agencies to plan and conduct the pupil placement exercises to admit students to our schools. You will also be managing the pupil placement systems that support the exercises, and assisting in the formulation of related policies. 

Your key responsibilities include: 

• Managing the planning and execution of various pupil placement operations and exercises (e.g. Primary 1 Registration, Secondary 1 Posting, Placement for Returning Singaporeans, Admission for International Students, Joint Admissions, Direct School Admission, School Transfers for Primary Schools) to facilitate school admission and transfers
• Preparing and updating public communication materials on pupil placement including drawing up information booklets, press releases and content to be published on webpages
• Conducting regular reviews of existing processes and executing enhancements to existing placement systems including the updating of standard operational procedures to incorporate all new education initiatives.
• Supporting the development of a new system including working with the system vendor on gathering and analysing of system requirements, reviewing test plans and scenarios as well as coordinating user acceptance tests


Requirements

• At least 2 years of working experience in project management and policy formulation
• Experience in systems development and project management would be an advantage
• A good team player and leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A resourceful individual who is able to multi-task and work under tight timelines
