The Smart Nation and Digital Government Office (SNDGO), under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) plans and prioritizes key Smart Nation and digital government projects, raises the standards of Government ICT and services, builds long-term capabilities for the public sector, and promotes adoption and participation in digital and smart innovations. It takes a whole-of-nation effort, and we will actively engage the public, the industry and fellow agencies as we build a Smart Nation together.

[Specific Job Responsibilities]

We are looking for individuals interested in driving change management to facilitate the adoption of Smart Nation and digital government initiatives across our various key stakeholders which include citizens and businesses, and the public service.

You will report to a Deputy Director. Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Developing strategies to nurture public and civil service confidence in our Smart Nation and Digital Government plans.
  • Facilitating and conducting engagements/ roadshows with citizens, businesses and civil service to suss out specific tech adoption pain points, outcomes of user-testing and prototyping.
  • Analysing survey and feedback data from engagement sessions to come up with recommendations on how to improve the user-experience or new tech growth areas Smart Nation should move into.
  • Developing strategies and implementing plans to increase adoption of specific technology platforms and tools across the Singapore population and civil service.
  • Working with relevant technologists and government agencies to develop content to support the above objectives.
  • Manage a volunteer corp of Smart Nation Ambassadors to drive co-creation and tech-awareness initiatives with the public.

[Work Experiences and Competencies]

An ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • At least 4 years’ working experience, including experience working in the public sector where possible
  • Empathy for the needs andf challenges that the public face in terms of tech adoption and find ways to mitigate these needs
  • A background in conducting large scale public and civil service engagements through surveys, focus-group discussions, town halls etc.
  • Capability in using data analytics to glean insights from surveys and focus group discussions.
  • An interest in engagement and marketing, specifically in the digital space

Skills in and knowledge of the following not necessary but would be an added advantage: design thinking, consumer/market research, user experience research/design.
