Responsibilities

You will lead a dynamic team to formulate energy strategies and policies to optimize and strike the right balance in Singapore’s energy trilemna of economic competitiveness, energy security, and environmental sustainability. Specifically, you will:

  • Work with the National Climate Change Secretariat, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources and other agencies to assess and recommend the trade-offs between economic and climate change objectives;
  • Develop and coordinate Singapore's energy RD&D, industry and capability development policies to foster innovative energy solutions that contribute to our economic development and national needs;   
  • Strengthen energy cooperation with international partners; and  
  • Monitor and analyse global energy developments and their implications on Singapore.



Requirements

You should have:

* Relevant field of study, preferably in economics or science/engineering

* At least 8-10 years of working experience, with at least 4 years of relevant experience

* Demonstrated leadership, planning and organizational abilities
* Keen interest in energy issues
* Excellent analytical skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
