Responsibilities

  • Work with project team to achieve the aim of the research project
  • Carry out research work on Abalone feed formulation
  • Handle live Abalone during feed testing in RP in house facility
  • Regular maintenance of Abalone feed testing facility
  • Coordinate with external collaborator on project development
  • Document, collate, analyse and interpret data
  • Assist in procurement, including liaising with vendors, sourcing for materials, equipment and testing, and raising purchase requests
  • Document and track project issues, expenses and budget tracking, action logs and equipment maintenance 
  • Assist in preparing progress reports for regular project updates
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the project leader

Requirements

  • Qualifications in Marine Science and Aquaculture. Preferably with some experience in relevant field.
  • Good knowledge of handling aquatic species and water parameters
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with people at all levels
  • Possess good multi-tasking skills, with a strong sense of responsibility for completing assigned duties on time
  • Proficient in IT skills
  • Good documentation skills and laboratory techniques
  • Successful candidate will be employed on a contract basis
  • May need to work outside normal office hours and on weekends
