MAS is the central bank of Singapore. Our mission is to promote sustained non-inflationary economic growth, and a sound and progressive financial centre.


In this role, you will engage consumers on their complaints or feedback on financial institutions and practices in the financial industry. You will also undertake consumer risk surveillance work to identify key trends emerging from consumer complaints and feedback.


You will also be involved in initiatives for MoneySENSE, Singapore’s national financial education programme. This entails developing financial education content and messages and identifying the appropriate platforms for the delivery of financial education to all consumers. In this regard, you will work with institutes of higher learning, community organisations, public sector agencies, industry associations, and media partners to develop and implement financial education initiatives. These initiatives include talks and workshops, website, seminars, educational articles, advertising campaigns, mass media and social media programmes to raise overall financial literacy levels in Singapore. You will also be required to develop key messages and consumer alerts in response to consumer feedback and risks identified from MAS’ surveillance work.


• Relevant work experience or a degree, preferably in business & finance, economics or social sciences
• Experience in dispute resolution, customer service, financial education, or public relations
• Good analytical skills and understanding of consumer financial behaviour, financial products and services
• Disposition towards consumer engagement and familiarity with consumer centric practices
• Keen interest in public service
• Effectively bilingual with excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage projects
• Skill sets in handling data, research, journalism, mass communications, copy-editing or campaign management will be helpful
