INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING OFFICER

Are you a meticulous worker who is strong in planning and project management? If so, we want you to be part of our team at the Singapore Police Force (SPF).

The Police Logistics Department (PLD) is the staff authority for the planning and development of SPF infrastructure projects. It involves acquisition, distribution, maintenance and disposal of materials, equipment, armament, vehicles and building facilities. PLD also serve as the project manager, and work closely with internal customers and consultants for these projects.

As an infrastructure Planning Officer in PLD, you play an important role in supporting Project Directors to manage the project effectively. You are directly responsible to monitor, communicate and drive the resolution of project-related issues, scope changes and contingencies arising during implementation of projects. 

 

JOB EXPECTATIONS

We are looking for result-driven and dynamic personnel who is meticulous in planning and possess good analytical skills. Good language and writing abilities are essential for proper project documentation and secretariat support. You can withstand pressure and multi-task to meet the various deadlines in project management. The personnel also possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to establish strong rapport with multiple stakeholders as well as key industry players involved in the project. You are adaptable and work well both independently and in teams

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Formal education or relevant training in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering, facilities management, technological processes, infrastructural development and design or project management is preferred. 

  • Meticulous and independent worker who is able to carry out your responsibilities with minimum supervision;

  • Possess effective people management, supervisory and communication skills;

  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Work and PowerPoint) and accounting software would be an advantage
