The Smart Nation and Digital Government Office (SNDGO), under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) plans and prioritizes key Smart Nation and digital government projects, raises the standards of Government ICT and services, builds long-term capabilities for the public sector, and promotes adoption and participation in digital and smart innovations. It takes a whole-of-nation effort, and we will actively engage the public, the industry and fellow agencies as we build a Smart Nation together.

The National Artificial Intelligence Office (NAIO) within SNDGO is responsible for the development and coordination of our National AI Strategy (NAIS). The NAIO brings together government, industry, and research stakeholders and reports through the Permanent Secretary for Smart Nation to the Smart Nation Inter-Ministerial Committee. Alongside the development of key horizontal enablers, the NAIS identifies several signature AI use cases to anchor AI development and deployment in Singapore in a systematic and deliberate manner.

[Job Responsibilities]

As Manager/Senior Manager/Assistant Director in the NAIO Projects Team, you will work, as part of a dynamic and fast-paced team, to deliver the following:

  • Marshall the necessary resources (funding, data, capabilities) to implement the signature AI use cases
  • Track and monitor progress of signature AI use cases
  • Work with agencies to co-execute signature AI use cases and resolve stumbling blocks
  • Identify opportunities to translate learning points, from the use cases, into stronger capabilities for Singapore (e.g. better policies on data and AI governance)
  • Work with GovTech to provide technical guidance and advisory services to agencies implementing the use cases.

[Job Requirements]

  • Technical skills in data management/artificial intelligence preferred
  • Project management skills
  • Multi-stakeholder management skills
  • People-skills to drive collaboration across government
  • Domain knowledge in either of the following sectors (i) transport & logistics; (ii) municipal services; (iii) healthcare; (iv) education; (v) safety and security.
  • 4-8 years experience in a relevant area of work
