The Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (Muis), also known as the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore, was established as a statutory body in 1968 when the Administration of Muslim Law Act (AMLA) came into effect. Under AMLA, Muis is to advise the President of Singapore on all matters relating to Islam in Singapore.

Muis is a statutory board under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY). It seeks to develop a Muslim community with strong Islamic credentials that thrives in the contemporary world, and is an active partner in nation-building. a)Review and implement the Organisation's Data Analytics Roadmap

  • Work with line units to develop relevant data analytics approaches, drive analytics projects to generate insights on key business operations and initiatives in key priority areas as assigned
  • Perform integration and cross-analysis of multiple datasets to extract further insights in key priority areas as well as identify new gaps and trends to facilitate management decision making
  • Contribute to deepening data analytics capabilities and applications in the organisation
  • Support the organisation's digitalisation plan while ensuring compliance with data management governance and controls

b) Drive the management and utilisation of data assets to strengthen Strategic Policy and Planning:

  • Identify and analyse issues, trends, challenges, opportunities through comparative data analysis with community partners, institutions and establishments
  • Work with stakeholders to recommend strategies to address these issues, and to track the efficacy of strategies and initiatives
  • Support the implementation of these business strategies by using data as an enabler to improve current work processes


  • Candidate must possess at least tertiary education in related discipline
  • At least 3 years' experience in related field eg. Data Analytics, Public Policy, and/or Statistics
  • Able to conduct research and environment scans, distill and analyse information from multiple sources, contextualise learning for the organisation, and facilitate learning and implementation throughout the rest of the organisation
  • Able to communicate complex data/concepts in a clear and simple manner
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and processes statistical analysis, data visualisation, and data mining skills and equivalent analytics tools. Working knowledge of forecasting/predictive modelling tools would be an advantage
  • Good communication skills with a track record in engaging business stakeholders, both within and outside the organisation
  • Experience in project management and/or policy analysis
  • Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Resourceful and able to work independently, and as a team
