Job Scope:

You will be responsible for developing policies and initiatives to help Singaporeans achieve a more secure retirement, primarily through the CPF system.

You will oversee the formulation, implementation and review of a complex suite of policies and schemes that aim to strengthen retirement adequacy for Singaporeans. These efforts include developing and reviewing schemes to help CPF members accumulate and grow their CPF savings so as to provide a stream of retirement income for life.

This role requires you to work closely with stakeholders across the Government such as the CPF Board and the Ministry of Finance.

Through this position, you will pick up the knowledge and skills to become an effective policy officer in the social policy domain, and gain experience in policy review/implementation and public communications.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of working experience, preferably in investment management or the public sector.
  • Strong interest, and preferably prior background, of working on social policies or in investment-related roles (e.g. relevant degree, previous research work or jobs). 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Experience in quantitative analysis, modelling and assessment of financial risks will be an advantage.
  • Good communicator with strong inter-personal and leadership skills who can forge effective partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good political acumen, and ability to understand and shape public sentiments.
  • Ability to exercise both empathy and firmness when managing complex appeal cases.
  • Creativity and willingness to innovate.
