Purpose of job:
The Singapore Tourism Board’s (STB) Industry Marketing Division resides within the larger Marketing Group. It supports STB in the area of marketing for industry products and events so as to drive awareness and publicity of STB, the tourism sector, and the destination as a whole.
The Industry Marketing department collaborates with STB Business Units, external stakeholders and agencies to develop the marketing strategy and plan. The strategy and plan is meant to drive supply (B2B marketing) and demand (B2C marketing) for the varied tourism-related industries to strengthen the positioning of Singapore to our target audience as an attractive must-see destination. Such industries include Sports, Arts & Entertainment, Attractions, Dining, Retail, Cruise and Precincts.
Main Responsibilities:
As part of the team, you will be assigned specific business units and lead on the key projects within the assigned prioritised industries. This role reports to the Assistant Director, Industry Marketing Leisure A.
Specifically this role entails:
  • Leading the development of the marketing strategy and formulation of an integrated marketing plan for the prioritised industries to achieve the business goals set out by the organisation.
  • Collaborating with creative, media, digital and PR agencies to drive the marketing plan rollout through paid, owned (website, social media) and earned channels, including budget and timeline management, asset creation and campaign execution, and tracking and analysing the effectiveness of the marketing plan against the strategy and objectives.
  • Working in close partnership with Business Units within STB to develop research plans to deepen understanding of target audience needs, market sizing and consumption behaviour to guide the development of the marketing strategy.
  • Working with Business Units within Marketing Group to facilitate the business planning process, budgeting and market performance indicators.
  • Fostering and managing external stakeholder relations and leverage opportunities to strike partnerships to fulfil marketing objectives, where needed.
  • Sharing best practices across Business Units and facilitate knowledge/expertise transfers.


Requirements :

  • At least 3 years of experience
  • Marketing strategy and plan formulation, project management, consumer marketing and branding skills
  • Experience in marketing, and/or experience in creative or marketing agency or production house/publisher
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in marketing, knowledge of tourism or related industries
