System Infrastructure Engineer

 

We are looking for a member to join our team with focus on spearheading innovative solutions and smart district strategies for upcoming growth areas.  You are expected to work with industry-academic collaboration and champion smart designs into our development planning and infrastructure planning.  You will need to be familiar with the development of the Smart Nation infrastructure and applications.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in developing the Open Digital Platform including defining and development of protocols adapters across various systems.  Knowledge of district level infrastructure systems planning like Common Services Tunnel, District Cooling, Pneumatic Waste System, Centralised Logistics Hub, circular economy, energy storage, etc. and how to integrate these Smart Systems into an Open Digital Platform is a bonus. 

As a system engineer, you will work and coordinate with various stakeholders, Government agencies and private sectors to develop the identified growth area. To ensure the district’s visions are realised, you will conduct/participate in brainstorming, data gathering, evaluation and implementation of the innovative initiatives in the identified growth area.   You will also be the driver to develop and provide useful information like project brief to guide the team members in implementing the work and where required, call relevant tender/RFP to tap niche expertise. You will also represent URA and manage the consultant in all related issues from tender document, contractual matters and any other works for the development.

 

Requirements:

Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent, preferably with at least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in consultancy or developer organizations focusing on areas of smart city.
