Civil Service College (CSC) Singapore is a statutory board under the Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office. We are the central learning institution for the Singapore Public Service and we play a pivotal role in partnering government ministries and agencies to develop people for a first class public service.

CSC brings together public service officers from diverse backgrounds and provides them opportunities to plug into a service-wide network to exchange views, build shared ethos and perspectives, creating a rich environment for dialogue, knowledge sharing and learning.

Through our programmes and services, CSC aims to build commitment and strategic capacity in governance, leadership, public administration and management for the Singapore Public Service.

The IFC team is looking into developing learning interventions in the domain of Innovation and Core capabilities, contingent to the public service. This includes the development of relevant and impactful programme design and digital resources such as case studies, learning aids (e.g. cards or experiential games) to be used as part of the learning interventions to facilitate productive and constructive discussions. 

The team is looking for interns to assist with the design and development of the learning resources.


Project Description

This project will involve extensive research study and development of learning resources, which will be used to shape CSC programmes/ talks and workshops related to Innovation.

(1) Design and development of research products in alignment to innovation curriculum 

(2) Scoping and conducting of research activities not limited to 1-1 interviews, Focus Group Discussions 

(3) Conduct landscape scan of Innovation domain in the Public and Private sector

Interns are expected to be highly involved in every stage of the design and development process – we are looking out for fast learners with a passion for innovation and learning. 


Project Requirements

  • Competent in digital platforms for resource development
  • Competent in designing learning programmes or development of resources
  • Previous Exposure to Design Thinking and Behavioural Insights
  • Qualitative research,
  • Research and writing
  • Fast learner, able to grasp basic concepts with ease
  • Likes experimenting with ideas and concepts
  • Open mindedness and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and open to change
  • Team player, able to establish good rapport with his/her team members
