The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) is Singapore's national land use planning authority. URA prepares long term strategic plans, as well as detailed local area plans, for physical development, and then co-ordinates and guides efforts to bring these plans to reality. Prudent land use planning has enabled Singapore to enjoy strong economic growth and social cohesion, and ensures that sufficient land is safeguarded to support continued economic progress and future development.

We are growing and enhancing the way we are engaging the public and stakeholders through social media and other online assets and are looking for a new media professional to join our team.

You will play a key role in shaping our web and social media strategies and development, selling ideas to our partners and influencers and driving campaigns and initiatives to engage the public on a range of urban issues.

As a New Media manager, your role and responsibilities are:

  • Manage the development of digital assets (website, microsites, e-newsletters, social media platforms and others)
  • Plan and implement effective public engagement online campaigns with a focus on online-to-offline conversion
  • Develop effective content strategies and partnership of all digital platforms and campaigns
  • Stay in touch with the latest digital trends, practices and technologies such as SEO optimisation, user experience, search keyword performance and paid media strategy etc
  • Liaise with agencies, partners and influencers for key public campaigns and initiatives
  • Use analytics to derive valuable insights

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Mass Communications or similar with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.  In the alternative, candidates without a degree should possess 5 to 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in digital marketing, marketing communications, event management preferred
  • Good command of English (written and spoken)
  • Social media-savvy and constantly abreast of new digital trends
  • Highly motivated, committed and able to work under pressure
  • Fast and independent worker with strong organisational ability with attention to details
  • Confident disposition and enjoys relating to people at all levels
  • Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends occasionally
  • Basic design (Illustrator, Photoshop) and video editing (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere) skills are preferred
