Workforce Singapore (WSG) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). It will oversee the transformation of the local workforce and industry to meet ongoing economic challenges.

WSG will promote the development, competitiveness, inclusiveness, and employability of all levels of the workforce. This will ensure that all sectors of the economy are supported by a strong, inclusive Singaporean core.

While its key focus is to help workers meet their career aspirations and secure quality jobs at different stages of life, WSG will also address the needs of business owners and companies by providing support to enable manpower-lean enterprises to remain competitive. It will help businesses in different economic sectors create quality jobs, develop a manpower pipeline to support industry growth, and match the right people to the right jobs


The primary roles and responsibilities are to work in collaboration with internal stakeholders and senior management to develop and manage the effective implementation of communications strategies to publicise the Agency's policies, programmes and services to the public in the following areas:

Media Relations

  • Develop and manage the implementation of the Agency's media relations and media communications plan

Corporate Communications / Branding / Engagement

  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to promote advocacy and encourage community involvement in building a culture of lifelong learning
  • Develop and build up the Agency brand among the Agency's stakeholders and the public


  • Develop and manage the implementation of the marketing communications strategy of the Agency and its initiatives

As a Deputy Director, you will

  • Lead and supervise the Corporate Marketing & Communications Team Leads and teams to achieve organisational excellence
  • Develop and manage the implementation of workflow processes and systems to ensure that objectives and outcomes are achieved for the division
  • Coach and guide the team on functional competencies
  • Work collaboratively with various team leads and across the organisation to achieve optimal results


  • Tertiary qualifications preferably in related discipline
  • Rich experience in public relations and marketing in a leadership position
  • Strategic thinker and able to develop innovative strategies to achieve outcomes
  • Detail, meticulous and able to identify newsworthy angles
  • Able to work with all levels in an organisation
  • Able to manage diverse views and seek consensus through open discussion
