The Central Provident Fund (CPF) is a social security savings scheme jointly supported by employees, employers and the Government. Its basic purpose is to help CPF members meet primary needs like shelter, food, clothing and health services in their old age or when they are no longer able to work. Benefits offered are to help meet one or more needs of the CPF Member in his retirement. They include withdrawals by the Member for retirement, permanent disablement, home ownership and health care. The amounts available depend on how much the Member has saved in the CPF.

The CPF Board are trustees for the CPF savings of Members. We aim to provide CPF Members, in a cost-effective manner, the widest range of quality services possible. We seek also to help employers pay CPF contributions promptly and correctly in as efficient and convenient a way as possible. Where we can, we make our assets and services available to help meet Singapore's social and economic objectives, thereby improving the quality of life of all Singaporeans and CPF Members.

Information Technology

IT systems form the backbone of our operations. We are looking for individuals with passion and IT expertise, to help us improve the delivery of our systems and services.  The Board’s IT systems support a high daily volume of financial transactions for CPF members. In addition to keeping the lights on, the Board also keeps pace with the external environment through innovation in its IT systems.

Responsibilities

As a DevOps consultant, you will help to revamp and improve the systems development life cycle as well as deliver new services & applications at an increased pace.

  • Design, implement and maintain the software configuration and deployment management solution
  • Plan, track and perform software release and deployment activities
  • Develop Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipeline
  • Develop and maintain software release related documents (e.g. release plan, release notes, software deployment plan)
  • Manage release and configuration change conflicts, and ensure integrity and quality releases
  • Assess release-related risks and participate in after-action reviews to contribute to ongoing continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Develop contingencies for handling release-failure and release-rollback scenarios
  • Develop scripts as needed

Requirements

  • Minimally 6 years of software release management or release engineering experience with  experience in Java software development operations
  • Familiar with build automation, code & configuration management: Maven, Ant, Gerrit, Git, Nexus, SonarQube
  • Experienced with Virtualization & container technologies: AWS, Azure, Docker
  • Experienced with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools: Jenkins, Bamboo, JIRA, Rational Team Concert (RTC)
  • Familiar with SDLC, software configuration management (SCM) and deployment automation
  • Familiarity with database administration and system administration is an added advantage
  • Preferably with hands-on experience on working with large and evolving source code repositories
  • Good grasp of IT technologies, methodologies and best practises
  • Strong collaboration, prioritization and adaptability skills
  • Position will be on a 2-year contract

Seniority of appointment will commensurate with relevant work experience.
