As a statutory board in the Ministry of Communications and Information, IMDA promotes and regulates the infocomm and media sectors.


The SMEs Go Digital programme aims to help SMEs use digital technologies and build stronger digital capabilities to seize growth opportunities in the digital economy.



Lead the Pre-Approval & Pilot team to drive the digital transformation of SME sector:

  • Develop strategies that will continuously level up the digitalisation of SMEs through pre-approval and piloting of solutions.
  • Ensure high standards of technical expertise in the team to provide technical consultancy, conduct technology scanning and research, publish findings and recommendations and undertake stringent evaluation of digital solution to meet the needs of SMEs in the different sectors.
  • Establish strong working relationships with lead agencies and industry partners (vendors, trade associations) to secure their buy-in on pre-approval and pilot projects.
  • Enhance the pre-approval and piloting of digital solutions to bring new values amidst the fast changing demands of SMEs.
  • Maintain compliance with the pre-approval, grants administration and governance frameworks.
  • Plan and ensure adequate budget and manpower resources to deliver the objectives of the pre-approval and piloting.
  • Support and ensure clear tracking of performance, progress and resource utilisation.




  • At least 15 years’ relevant experience, with at least 10 years in a supervisory/managerial role
  • Robust and practical knowledge and appreciation of technological trends
  • Strategic thinking and strong business acumen
  • Strong leadership, communications, consulting, conceptualisation & negotiation skills
  • Multi-stakeholders engagement skills
  • Vendor/ partner relationship management skills
  • Project & people management skills



Position will commensurate with experience.
