The Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) in MSF provides services for the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders and the protection of children and families. We are passionate and committed to making a difference in the lives of these children, youth, and families, and are looking for like-minded individuals who share the same passion as us to join our dynamic and life-changing team.

The Clinical and Forensic Psychology Service (CFPS) provides specialized psychological services to children, youth, persons with disability, elderly and families, in the areas of abuse and trauma recovery and forensic mental health.  Continual clinical training, professional supervision, as well as opportunities for research will be provided to develop your expertise in the area of your work.

In the Family Systems Specialist Unit, you will be a family therapist who provides Functional Family Therapy (FFT) to children and their families. FFT training and supervision will be provided. You will provide psychological assessments, conduct training, and provide consultation services to stakeholders within MSF, as well external partners such as VWOs, hospitals and other ministries.

Technical/Functional Competencies required:

  • Minimally a Master’s degree in Clinical or Forensic Psychology
  • At least 3 years of experience in clinical or forensic settings after completion of postgraduate degree is preferred
  • Strong assessment and good report writing skills
  • To work with vulnerable adults and elderly, experience in adult mental health and/or special needs, conducting cognitive assessments for adults and elderly, and providing clinical intervention with adult victims/perpetrators of family violence will be an advantage

Generic Competencies required:

  • Effective interpersonal skills to engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • For the Family Systems Specialist Unit role, candidates must be open to learning and applying a new therapeutic model that require them to work with highly disruptive families, as well as non-traditional working hours.
