You will work closely with the Rail Operators to maintain good working knowledge of on-the-ground Operation & Maintenance (O&M) issues so as to facilitate return of the Rail Operators’ O&M experience to LTA’s design Divisions for continual improvement of the design of Singapore’s Rail Transit System’s (RTS) lines thereby contributing to continued/enhanced reliability/availability/safety of Singapore's RTS. You will work closely with Rail Operators to ensure that the RTS assets under your Division's charge are properly maintained by the Rail Operator to enable such assets to perform their functions reliably and safely. You will ensure that the operators optimise the costs and benefits (for life cycle management) of assets under the purview of the Division for the duration of the service life of such assets so that such information can be derived to inform decisions on asset refurbishment, renewal or life extension. You will review and audit the Rail Operator's maintenance plan/regime for compliance with the Rail Operator's submissions pursuant to NRFF licence condition.

Your scope of works will include review of the design of tunnel ventilation system, air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems, fire protection systems, environmental control systems, plumbing/sanitary, pumped drainage, lifts and escalators. You will also provide engineering support in witnessing the testing, commissioning and handover of new assets to the Rail Operators.

Requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• At Least 10 years of experience in design / installation, operation and maintenance of tunnel ventilation systems, environmental control systems, fire protection systems, plumbing/sanitary, pumped drainage, lifts and escalators
• Conversant with all relevant technical standards and codes of practice
• Knowledge of railway work environment and relevant safety requirements
• Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Those with more years of relevant experience and professional credentials will be considered for senior positions
• Candidates with Professional Engineers (PEs) certification will be preferred
