The Police Licensing & Regulatory Department (PLRD)’s mission is to ensure that the Police’s licensing and regulatory regime supports the SPF’s mission to prevent, deter and detect crime.  The PLRD’s Security Industry Division (SID) is in charge of the licensing of the Private Investigation Agency, Security Agency, Security Service Provider, Security Officer, Private Investigator licence and In-House Employer registration. SID also oversees the regulation of the Auxiliary Police Forces and sets the standards for competency and training requirements for the armed and unarmed security industry

As an Assistant Officer-In-Charge (AOC) Licensing, you are responsible in ensuring the effective regulation of the licences issued under the Private Security Industry (PSI) Act and aligning the regulation intent of the regime to support Singapore Police Force’s mission.

You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme.



As an Assistant Officer-in-Charge (AOC) Licensing, you are responsible for assisting OC Licensing in overseeing the licensing and regulatory processes for the PSI regime and ensure that queries and issues pertaining PSI regime are properly addressed.

You shall be responsible for supervising SID’s licensing processing officers to ensure that SID’s key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.

As an Assistant Officer-in-Charge (AOC) Licensing, you will be required to perform any other duties as directed by OC Licensing.



· Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes

· Good command of English (both written and oral)

· Good interpersonal skills and communication skills

· Able to work under pressure with tight timelines

· Possess ability to analyse issues

· Familiar with the statutes, conditions, criteria, guidelines and SOP governing the Security Industry regimes.
