Job Summary:

Formulate, develop and test evidence-informed and innovative ideas/solutions that will drive the social service sector to achieve greater impact and be future-ready.

The job involves sense-making data, gathering resources and ideas from other countries or other sectors/industries, engaging stakeholders, developing macro strategies and solutions, piloting and evaluating solutions.

This position also requires the individual to be creative, aware of data and technological trends and developments in different sectors and translate them into actions.


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Gather, analyse and make sense of different sources of data and information.
  2. Analyse trends and consider the implications (if any) for the sector.  From there, develop strategies and solutions to either mitigate the trend, or ride on the trend.
  3. Translate strategies and solutions into implementation plans.
  4. Present and communicate strategies to various audiences.
  5. Convene and negotiate with 3P sectors to formulate strategies and roadmaps.
  6. Perform secretariat duties when needed.
  7. Share strategies with diverse audiences such as government leaders, activists, public, Social Service Agencies & media, and craft communication messages (website updates, social media, collaterals, speeches, press releases, etc.).
  8. Keep up to date with latest global developments (e.g. technology, data, practices) in similar or other industries, and applying the relevant to Singapore’s context.


Job Requirements:

  • Tertiary education in Information Systems, Business Development, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent; or tertiary education in business, public policy, social sciences, economics, or other relevant disciplines.
  • Preferably a minimum of three years’ experience in the social service sector or strategy development position
  • Have worked independently in managing projects/designing strategies.
  • Experience with social issues will be preferred.
