STAFF OFFICER OF REGULATORY DEVELOPMENT UNIT

The Singapore Police Force is the Appropriate Authority for security at the airport. The Airport Police Division (APD), as the executive arm performing regulatory functions in addition to policing duties within the airport, is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the National Civil Aviation Security Programme. It serves to protect the security, regularity and efficiency of international civil aviation in the Singapore Changi Airport and Seletar Airport, and safeguard against acts of unlawful interference aimed at passengers, personnel, aircraft, airport terminals and aircraft navigation installations and equipment.  

As the Staff Officer of Regulatory Development Unit, you will be responsible for the management and conduct of trend analysis on aviation security offences.  You will also be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the secured supply chain regulatory framework as well as the management and conduct of aviation security courses.   

You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme.

 

JOB EXPECTATIONS

In carrying out your roles, you have to engage air cargo agents and consignors as well as conduct audits on their security measures. You may also be required to conduct engagements with the cargo industry on their operational challenges with respect to changes in the regulatory development framework to strengthen the secure supply chain.

 

You will have supervisory functions and will be required to handle budget and contract management that are time critical.   

 

You may also be required to perform other duties as assigned by OC Regulatory Development Unit.

 

REQUIREMENT

  • ICAO National Inspector certification

  • At least 3 years of investigation and operational experience in aviation security 

  • Experience in the conduct of quality control activities at the national level

  • Possess good supervisory and man management skills

  • Ability to cope with a reasonably high level of stress, demonstrate resilience and drive

  • Possess good analytical and operational skills

  • Meticulous in work 

  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
