Singapore Tourism Board’s Marketing Group (MG) has a vision to create agile, bold and creative destination marketing that inspires and delivers results. In order to drive growth in tourism outcomes for the Board, we must forge strong and collaborative partnerships with stakeholders such as our creative, digital and media agency partners to deliver impactful marketing and communications related activities. We also want to capitalise on and be at the forefront of today’s marketing competencies so as to deliver against our ambition to become a data-driven and insight-led marketing organisation.
 
To do this, the Marketing Planning team is designed to manage overall planning across the Marketing teams, looking at a spectrum of strategic and operational matters from the development/ refinement of marketing strategy, marketing resource allocation and success measurement, to analysis of research and data, management reporting and management of collaborative agency partnerships.
 
As an Assistant Manager, you will be part of a wider collective within the Marketing Partnerships & Planning division within MG to support the Board’s business and marketing objectives. You will be working closely with the team to deliver on these areas to support management across MG and overseas regional offices.
 
 
Main Responsibilities:
 
Key area of responsibility is in the area of supporting planning and agency partnership management, delivering against the following key tasks:
  • Planning and facilitating planning platforms across MG, overseas regional offices and external agency partners for effective and data-driven strategy and work plan discussions
  • Management and refinement of MG’s budgets and Marketing Resource Allocation, which includes annual allocation of budgets and on-going tracking of utilisation
  • Develop and analyse how STB measures our marketing outputs, and work with the teams to achieve uniformity and consistency in how we track, measure, report and optimise
  • Manage the business relationship with agencies such as fee and contractual agreements
  • Manage annual Performance Evaluation Exercise, to analyse the results and develop actionable solutions
  • Develop and manage agency engagement processes across MG to ensure consistency, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Regular management reporting in areas such as budgets, risk management and MG’s key focus areas

 

Key relationships:
  • Internal stakeholders within MG and other STB groups to identify needs for agency and marketing resources
  • External stakeholders such as agency partners, agency consultants to achieve STB’s marketing objectives

 

Requirements: 

  • At least 3 years working experience
  • Strong analytical skills and able to work with data and numbers
  • Able to project manage across multiple stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Willing to learn
  • Strong communication and presentation capabilities
  • Proficiency in the use of both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must
  • Experience in marketing or data and research will be an added advantage
