Purpose of job:
  • To transform tourism companies in Data Analytics through the implementation of initiatives, working in partnership with industry stakeholders and STB divisions.
Main Responsibilities:
Co-create data use cases with industry
  • Work with STB-appointed consultant to identify tourism industry’s pertinent business questions, working with line units and industry associations, to develop proofsof-
    concept with a view to operationise the user stories (e.g. benchmarks, etc) into Stan for tourism industry.
    Conduct POCs with various stakeholders to validate their business use cases, leveraging data capability in Stan.
    Secretariat for STB’s Data Advisory Panel (bi-annual meetings)
Enabling industry to transform through data capabilities development initiatives
  • Work with STB-appointed consultant to work with 6-7 key data partners, with a view to transform their organizations and develop a set of toolkit, e.g. data transformation playbook to scale up efforts to tourism industry.
  • Work with selected committed industry partners to upskill their nominated staff to transform their organization in data analytics
  • Implement industry-wide initiatives such as conferences, seminars and training, etc.
  • Work with appointed vendor to implement learning resources (e.g. e-learning, self-help toolkit) for tourism industry stakeholders
  • Work with appointed training providers and WSG to market data courses to upkill tourism employees under STB's Tech College
  • Measure the effectiveness of the various data analytics capabilities initiatives for the tourism industry
Stan adoption and development
  • Drive industry's adoption of Stan through initiatives such as hands-on session
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of STB’s onboarding initiatives and industry users' satisfaction with Stan
  • Work with Data Analytics Systems Department on user story development, provide input for product backlog prioritization
Budget tracking
  • Track budget utilization



  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience with minimum 3 years of industry development or change management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead by influence
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Strong business development skills, such as business acumen, building relationships and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of Change Management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Interest and knowledge of data analytics would be an advantage
  • Knowledge in tourism and related fields is an added advantage
  • Useful to have prior experience in event organising
  • Prior experience with agile projects would be an advantage
