NCSS is a statutory board and an umbrella body for some 450 member social service organisations in Singapore. Our mission is to provide leadership and direction in enhancing the capabilities and capacity of our members, advocating for social service needs and strengthening strategic partnerships for an effective social service ecosystem. Since 1992, NCSS has taken over the functions of the former Singapore Council of Social Service (SCSS) and Community Chest of Singapore.

Job Summary:

You will lead a team to drive efforts in strategic communications and research.

 

Job Responsibilities:

You will lead a team to achieve the following:

  • develop and implement an evidence-based communications approach for the MSF Family
  • seeding a culture of data-driven Comms in the MSF Family, and ensuring that all comms help to achieve the Ministry’s objectives and mission and that comms outcomes are measurable
  • strengthen capabilities for MSF divisions who do comms (e.g. understanding of data-driven comms, research capabilities)
  • work with internal stakeholders to ensure sentiments on MSF and our programmes/policies from different data sources are consolidated and analysed to provide new insights to inform comms/engagement interventions; conduct research projects to identify gaps where needed
  • work with internal stakeholders to use data to formulate strategies to influence public opinion and to drive buy-in and participation for MSF’s work and longer term strategic issues

 

Job Requirements:

  • Tertiary education in Humanities, Statistics, Psychology or Economics-related disciplines preferred

  • Relevant experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative statistical analysis.

  • Supervisory experience in leading a team
