RPG undertakes the statutory functions in the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders, and the protection of children and families.  Our mission is to empower individuals and families to break cycles of abuse, neglect and offending.

You may be deployed to frontline (e.g. case management and operations) or non-frontline positions (e.g. policy, planning and corporate).  As a Rehabilitation and Protection Officer (RPO), you have the opportunity to influence and shape lives and, in the process, the future of the rehabilitation and protection landscape in Singapore.

Foster Care Officer (FCO)

A safe and stable family is an essential entity of support and healing, especially to children in need of protection. Fostering Service recruits foster families to provide quality care for these children. As a FCO, you will work with children to help them integrate into the foster family, and support the foster family by linking them up with suitable resources. You will also work closely with other stakeholders to achieve a more permanent and positive outcome for these children.  



Functional/Technical Competencies

  • Tertiary qualifications
    • Discipline in Social Sciences is preferred.
    • Prior work or volunteering experience within the social service sector will be an advantage.

Behavioural Competencies

  • Good analytical, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic with high level of emotional resilience and ability to work calmly in stressful situations and environment.
  • Tenacious and nimble in handling difficult clients and/or situations.
  • Enjoy teamwork and able to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
