The Family Support Division (FSP) of the Family Development Group (FDG) focuses on providing a continuum of support for mainstream and early-risk families in the areas of marriage, divorce and ageing support. 

As part of the dynamic team at FSP, you will develop the long-term vision, strategy and key directions for the mainstream and early-risk family sub-sector, develop the services and programmes, and work out detailed implementation plans to roll out / enhance family support services so as to strengthen families as well as the organisations and professionals that support these families. You will do this in collaboration with the various service management, capability development and systems development teams in FSP as well as relevant divisions in FDG. 

This role will see you work closely with the Social Service Agencies (SSAs) delivering family support services in the 10 SSO regional clusters. 

Your key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Identify and address needs and gaps in the support for mainstream and early-risk marriages and parents, and their children; 

  • Explore, assess and identify evidence-based practices or programmes to support families, including leading discussions and negotiations with international experts and programme developers;

  • Work with sector partners on the capability required to deliver the new services;

  • Drive implementation of new services and programmes;

  • Review and develop service, staffing and funding models, guidelines and protocols to support the convenient, coordinated and comprehensive delivery of upstream and downstream services;

  • Engage SSAs and other stakeholders to understand and address their needs and concerns, and co-create and implement solutions together to better support families;

  • Drive change management and stakeholder engagement needs as we implement changes such as new KPIs for new services, moving to different modes of service delivery and case/programme management; and

  • Oversee cross-cutting matters within FSP, including manpower, funding and communications.



Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in any discipline; social science disciplines preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Excellent communications skills (oral and written)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
