Purpose of job:

  • To drive digital transformation in the tourism sector for operational efficiency and experience enhancement
  • To build up STB's innovation and technology network in Singapore and globally
  • To forge partnerships with key stakeholders to strengthen digital capabilities and drive digital innovations both in STB and across the industry


Main Responsibilities:

  1. Industry development 
    1. Provide business consultancy services to tourism companies to identify gaps and opportunities in the areas of innovation and technology adoption, and support them by developing a digital transformation strategy 
    2. Keep up-to-date on latest technologies and their applicability to the tourism industry
    3. Build relationships with, and account manage key tourism stakeholders to support their transformation over time
  2. Community engagement 
    1. Build relationships with the key tourism stakeholders and the wider innovation community (e.g. tech solution providers, designers, business process consultants etc) and identify opportunities for collaboration between the various parties to drive innovation and transformation for the tourism industry.
    2. Design and curate technology exhibitions and events to inspire the tourism industry to create next gen experiences
    3. Maintain a microsite to keep the tourism industry and innovation community updated on key innovation events, and to engender an active digital touchpoint of STB's innovation lab


  • Experience with working with businesses on business transformation to develop strategies, identify gaps and opportunities, develop new products etc.

  • Proven track record in engaging relevant stakeholders (within and outside of the organisation)

  • Strong ties with the innovation ecosystem in Singapore

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make sound judgements

  • Business acumen with the ability to think strategically 

  • Functional business consultancy skills like workshop facilitation, design thinking, journey mapping, lean management, business process re-design etc.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to express complex ideas in an easy-to-understand manner

  • Mature and comfortable presenting to and interacting with people from senior management levels

  • Strong command of written and spoken English

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to maintain relationships with potential partners

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver projects on brief

  • Resourcefulness and ability to think outside the box in order to deliver required outcomes
