Description of Division/Branch:

Youth Residential Service (YRS) is responsible for the rehabilitation, protection and reintegration of youth placed in secure care at the Singapore Boys’ Home and Singapore Girls’ Home. The Homes are gazetted as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre for youth offenders dealt with by the Youth Court and as a Place of Safety for youths admitted on a Family Guidance Order, Care and Protection Order or under the Women’s Charter.

Brief description of Job Scope:

You are required to work closely with different teams within the Singapore Boys’ and Girls’ Homes to oversee infrastructure and technology projects, and ensure the deliverables meet the needs of the Homes. Your work could also involve development projects in other areas.


 Your work includes the following:

  • Contributing domain knowledge in infrastructure and technology to value-add to the projects and provide solutions to meet the Homes’ needs
  • Managing vendors and project timeline
  • Serving as a point of contact to vendors and stakeholders, presenting the needs of the Homes in the projects. The needs could include security aspects, safety of staff and resident and an environment conducive for rehabilitation
  • Drafting specifications for the projects and executing the procurements

Competencies required:

  • Tertiary education
  • Domain knowledge in infrastructure building and technology. Having knowledge and/or experience in additional areas of development works such as facility management, office designing, facility security etc. will be an advantage
  • Possess working experience in managing projects, contracts and vendors
  • Good communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills to manage the different operations need to be catered for in the projects
