Under general supervision, the Telehealth Referral Management Specialist I serves as the initial point of contact for individuals and referring practices for telemedicine appointments. This position facilitates the referral process and schedules appointments for multiple specialties that perform telehealth services using various technologies to provide quality patient care including outpatient, school-based and direct to patient services. This role triages calls, answers questions, resolves issues and refers to appropriate clinical team(s) for clinical issues as appropriate. This position performs quality data collection of accurate information including demographic, physician, insurance, employment, next of kin, emergency contacts and other miscellaneous information needed to complete the patient’s information. This role performs activities to ensure effective operations of telehealth clinics, while enhancing the revenue cycle and providing the highest level of customer service.

MUHA ED49 - Medical Technologist Coor/Line Supervisor Children's Hospital
Coordinates / oversees Referral Testing activities related to staffing, workflow, ordering, processing, shipping, result reporting and billing. Prepares and submits specimens to qualified laboratories; effectively utilizes LIS functions and referral laboratories web-based portals; trains staff and serves as a resource for internal and external clients. Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related scientific discipline and a minimum of five years work experience as a Medical Technologist in a supervisory, teaching, or consulting capacity. The Medical University of South Carolina, a 700-bed academic quaternary care medical center located in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for the Hematology/Oncology Service Line. Hollings Cancer Center currently has 50 infusion chairs and an active Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic. The current oncology team includes numerous clinical pharmacists specializing in oncology as well as 7 clinical specialists across various hematology/oncology specialties (including this position). There are currently 6 clinical specialists dedicated to outpatient clinics and 1 specialist dedicated to inpatient malignant hematology and BMT care. Hollings Cancer Center currently has numerous hematology/oncology clinics, 50 infusion chairs and an active Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic.
