The Sleep and Anxiety Treatment and Research Program (SATRP) within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in beautiful Charleston, SC is seeking a full-time clinical faculty member to provide evidence based outpatient treatment for a wide variety of both sleep and anxiety issues. This position requires a psychologist who will see patients, supervise trainees, coordinate patient care, and participate in program activities (e.g., journal clubs, case conferences).Opportunities are available to be involved in clinical research, as well as teaching of medical students, psychology interns, postdoctoral fellows, and psychiatric fellows. This position will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatrists, pulmonologists, trainees, and basic scientists. Expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety disorders is highly recommended.

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), College of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a full-time radiation oncologist to work at New River Oncology, a satellite facility located in beautiful Okatie, near Bluffton, SC. This new facility was built two years ago and is a strategic partnership between the local hospital system Beaufort Memorial Hospital, the Medical University of South Carolina, and Alliance Oncology. The satellite center is equipped with a state-of-the-art Varian Halcyon treatment system, CT-simulator, ARIA oncology EMR, and Eclipse treatment planning system. Staffing includes full-time onsite nursing and therapists with support of a full-time physicist and a dosimetrist. The center has a sister site, Keyserling Cancer Center, in Beaufort 22 miles away that is equipped a Varian TrueBeam linac with the same treatment planning and management systems. The physician at New River will focus on that site but will have access to the Beaufort center as well. The physicians at the two sites will partner to build the practices at both facilities. Whereas the primary role is to be the medical director and lead physician at the New River center, he/she is expected be integrated into the overall programs of the Medical University of South Carolina and the Hollings Cancer Center, an NCI-designated cancer center. The physician is expected to carry faculty rank based on experience and would have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials, resident education, and multidisciplinary patient care. The physician would be afforded the opportunities for career advancement.

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is located in Charleston, SC. MUSC is seeking an academic Endocrinologist to participate in clinical care, research and teaching. Applicants must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and BC/BE in Endocrinology. The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Medicine at MUSC has a fifty year distinguished history of clinical, translational, and basic research on the complications of diabetes. A salient example was participation, under the leadership of Dr. John A. Colwell, in the design, implementation and conduct of the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT) (1983-93) and its follow-up study, Epidemiology of Diabetes Intervention and Complications (EDIC) (1994 to present). These landmark studies proved the utility of intensive management of diabetes in preventing micro- and macro-vascular complications. They led to a 10-year NIH Program Project award to the Division to seek biochemical ‘Markers and Mechanisms for Macrovascular Disease in Diabetes’ (1997-2007) (PI, Garvey, Co-PI, Lyons). In its totality, this body of work (DCCT, EDIC, Program Grant) provides us with a continuing opportunity to study the evolution of complications of diabetes over a 35-year timeframe.
