10Collaborate with research staff and faculty to meet the data and sample needs of investigators requesting clinical and sample data from a large biorepository of human samples.Essential
10Verify the accuracy of data entry, develop and perform routine quality control checks, and collaborate with clinical research staff and the bioinformatics team to ensure data integrity.Essential
15Work with the Principal Investigator and study team to identify and recruit study participants, including local travel for recruitment at community centers and health fairs, in compliance with study requirements and protocol.Essential
30Coordinate the collection, formatting and entering of clinical research and biospecimen data into web-based database formats such as REDCap and TissueMetrix.Essential
30Serve as coordinator for 1 - 2 rheumatology clinical trials, including overall local study organization, recruitment, regulatory compliance, sponsor correspondence, data collection and coordination.Essential
5Maintain regulatory compliance with institutional, state, and federal guidelines for human research, and CITI Training certification.Essential


Job summary:  Support the research activities of the MUSC Division of Rheumatology by coordinating the collection, formatting and entering of clinical research data for studies of patients with lupus and scleroderma, both observational and interventional. Develop and perform quality checking measures.  Collaborate with research staff, clinicians and investigators to meet the data and sample needs of investigators requesting clinical and sample data from a large biorepository of human samples.


Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 4: $26,988.00 - $38,460.00 - $49,932.00 (min - mid - max)


FLSA: Hourly


Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma and two years relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
