Job Duties:
10Provides grant related assistance to departmental faculty as requested by supervisor.Essential
15Administrative aspects of research program management will include procurement as needed with purchase card and through Marketplace, scheduling faculty travel as related to research presentations, process travel reimbursements according to State policies and procedures.Essential
20Data management involves the collection of data through literature, chart and coding reviews, data entry, analysis of data, and reporting of results.Essential
25Assist research faculty with finding extramural funding sources. Provide pre-award support through budget development and proposal submission. Act as department expert on policies and procedures of IRB submissions.Essential
30Manage day to day research program activities as related to University and sponsor requirements. This includes but will not be limited to effort reporting, oversee research status meetings with research team, budget reconciliation, and sponsor update reports.Essential

Job summary: The candidate will work on developing and implementing new study protocols, preparing posters and presentations for scientific meetings. Provides support for departmental administration and faculty members and make recommendation for improvements of current programs. Performs administration of program related activities including faculty movements, management of revenues and expenditures, and insuring compliance with regulatory guidelines at the University and sponsor level. Assists with data entry and management as well as reimbursements for faculty members.

Other responsibilities include pre- and post- grant supervision and assists the department in preparing grant proposals and applications; Seeks sources of funds for grant programs through familiarity with federal, state and local publications; Keeps up to date with grant application rule changes; Works with program directors to gather data, conduct needs analysis and draft proposals; Rewrites proposals to meet grant application requirements; Monitors grant progress through the submittal process; Monitors grant program to ensure expenditures are consistent with grant provisions; Prepares grant extension requests.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 5: $32,838.00 - $46,799.00 - $60,760.00 (min - mid - max)

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree and one year relevant program experience.

Additional Experience and Skills: Word processing, progress report preparation, database management.  Experience in health care research and the ability to collaborate with people at different research skill levels also beneficial.   Ability to analyze and interpret data using various statistical and mathematical techniques and programs is preferred.
