Job Summary/Purpose:  The Charge Capture & Products Supervisor reports to the Director of Perioperative Business Operations. Under general supervision, the Charge Capture and Products Supervisor is responsible for accurate and timely entry of patient charges to include posting, updating, reconciling, routine auditing and preparing summary financial and statistical reports. To control expenses, the Charge Capture and Products Supervisor oversees the products brought into Perioperative Services to ensure they are under contract, have been approved to use, and completes requests for new products. This position is responsible for supervising the Fiscal Technicians and Charge Capture & Products Coordinators in Perioperative Services.

Minimum Training and Education:   A high school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor's degree in a healthcare or business related field preferred.   A minimum of five years’ experience in the healthcare field pertaining to work experience with charge capture, inventory management, cost containment, training, and supply chain. Strong knowledge of procedures and supply function and usage preferred.  Knowledge of the principles of business, inventory management, supply chain, and negotiating techniques is preferred.
