20Works with the HCC Citizens Advisory Board to identify major gift prospects and facilitates their increased involvement in fundraising activities, special events and advocacy.Essential
35Conducts personal face-to-face calls in order to meet goals.Essential
35Creates and implements a fundraising program with measurable financial and activity-based goals attainable through the successful identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gifts ($25,000 and above) in order to provide an ongoing basis of private support for the Hollings Cancer Center based upon institutional priorities.Essential
5Other duties as assigned to support the overall efforts of the HCC Development team and Central Development office.Essential
5Works with the Annual Giving and Planned Giving office to promote philanthropic support of HCC priority projectsEssential


Job summary: Creates and implements a fundraising program with measurable financial and activity-based goals attainable through the successful identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gifts ($25,000 and above) in order to provide an ongoing basis of private support for the Hollings Cancer Center based upon institutional priorities. Conducts personal face-to-face calls in order to meet these goals.


Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 7: $48,622.00 - $69,289.00 - $89,956.00 (min - mid - max)


FLSA: Salaried


Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree and three years experience in a related field.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

Knowledge of principles and procedures pertaining to professional fund-raising activities.
Knowledge of federal and state tax laws as they apply to charitable giving and charitable trusts.
Knowledge of university goals and objectives.
Ability to establish good working relationships with alumni, businesses, students, media, faculty and other potential donors to the university.
Ability to interpret and apply tax laws as they relate to charitable giving.
Must have a proven track record of major gift success.
