Job Duties:
10Works effectively and cooperatively with colleagues to assist with audits and monitor visits, assists in program development, reviews new/proposed protocols and prepares written report as to feasibility, assist with orientation of new employees. Prepares, transports, and handles blood borne pathogens and other human specimens following OSHA guidelines for shipment to external facilities. Other duties as assigned.Essential

35Screens all new patients at the Hollings Cancer Center. Enrolls a minimum of 36 new patients to therapeutic trials annually. Identifies patients by attending clinics, multidisciplinary tumor boards, conferences and other venues as appropriate. Insures proper patient management according to protocol requirements and coordinates protocol related activities with patients, physicians, clinic personnel and ancillary departmentsEssential

Job summary: Under general supervision of the Clinical Trials Office (CTO), Manager of Clinical Operations, coordinates and supervises complex research protocols at the Hollings Cancer Center involving cooperative groups, industry and the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Actively promotes and increases awareness of the clinical trial program, exercises judgment regarding proper patient management, timely and accurately meets established reporting systems to research bases, National Cancer Institute and MUSC staff.


Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 5: $32,838.00 - $46,799.00 - $60,760.00 (min - mid - max)

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree and one year relevant program experience.
