Job Duties:
10%Tracks and assigns Fixed Asset inventory according to MUSC and CHP policies and procedures. Fixed Asset activities include but not limited to: preparing fixed asset paperwork for new purchases, maintaining the inventory database, completing University annual inventory reports, surplussing outdated equipment and preparing University Risk Management insurance claim forms for lost and/or stolen equipment. Serves as the backup to the HR Manager for the maintenance and reconciliation of time, attendance, and holiday records for all employees of the Department of Health Professions.Essential
15%Maintain and update Faculty Practice spreadsheet with gross payment amount, UMA tax, disbursement, and division revenue. Calculates payments for dual employment faculty. Coordinate with the Business Administrator and faculty members on receiving and processing payment from outside facilities. Track faculty practice hours through communication with outside personnel and faculty members. Create and submit invoices for monthly hours. Prepare and submit time sheets and dual employment paperwork for Faculty Practice Dual Employment reimbursement. Perform monthly and quarterly invoicing for all Faculty and Divisions participating in faculty practice and dual employment.Essential
15%Works with the Foundation for Research Development office to make deposits and process expenditures in existing and new FRD accounts. Reconciles accounts against known transactions and provides monthly analysis to Department of Health Professions Business Administrator.Essential
25%Reconciles all non-personnel expenditures in UMS in accordance with CHP policies and procedures. Reconciling includes: posting non-personnel transactions in UMS, reviewing encumbrances, and problem solving incorrect allocation of expenditures. Oversees all reconciling that is conducted by the Fiscal Tech II and ensures accurate cash balances on a monthly basis. Allocates all purchasing card transactions in WORKS and notifies the University Procurement P-Card Liaison of any unauthorized purchases. Reviews and ensures accuracy on purchasing card transaction allocations processed by the Fiscal Tech II. Prepares monthly data analysis on non-personnel expenses to include but not limited to: printing, telephone and cellular usage, and copier charges. Prepares UMA and MUSC deposits from faculty practice, continuing education, and other miscellaneous activities. Prepares a profit and loss statement on individual continuing education conferences for Business Administrator and Division Directors.Essential
35%Analyzes University and state policies and procedures and determines best practices for submitting all procurement requests. Serves as the departmental procurement subject matter expert by maintaining a training presentation and conducting annual training for departmental faculty/staff to advise them of best methods. Uses comprehensive knowledge to make proposals for departmental changes in procurement policy and procedures. Creates and processes procurement, dual employment, and UMA check request transactions in the Department of Health Professions in accordance to State Procurement Code, MUSC, UMA, FRD, and CHP policies and procedures. Procurement transactions include travel reimbursement, purchasing card transactions, requisitions, and IITs. Coordinates with other college departments, vendors, and University departments to complete procurement transactions. Supervises and guides Fiscal Technician II in the Department of Health Professions.Essential

Job summary: This position reports directly to the Department of Health Professions Business Administrator in the College of Health Professions. This position is responsible for conducting procurement and fixed assets activities for the Department of Health Professions.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 5: $32,838.00 - $46,799.00 - $60,760.00 (min - mid - max)

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma and three years professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial lending. A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for two years of the required work experience.
