Job Summary/Purpose: The Accountant II in Hospital Fiscal Services reports to the Accounting Manager. The Accountant II performs professional accounting duties supporting MUHA’s monthly and fiscal year-end financial reporting and the annual external audit; general ledger accounting specific to ongoing account reviews, analyses and reconciliations; regularly interacts with organization wide finance personnel; and performs a variety of other associated administrative duties in support of departmental operations.

Minimum Training and Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting or business related field and three (3) years work experience in a business related area such as accounting, business, audit or finance required. Master's degree (MBA, MHA) preferred. Hospital/ healthcare based work experience preferred. Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills; ability to function in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines; a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Outlook software; Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat software is a plus. CHFP or CPA designation a plus.
